What does the FLIP app do?
FLIP converts supported stablecoins (USDT and USDC) into local cash and sends the payout directly to your bank account or mobile-money wallet—and also lets you buy stablecoins via local bank transfer or mobile money.
Which currencies can I deposit or withdraw?
FLIP supports 15+ local currencies across Africa and beyond, including NGN, GHS, KES, ZAR, UGX, TZS, RWF, ZMW, XOF, XAF, MWK, and more. Availability and settlement channels (instant bank transfer or Mobile Money) adapt automatically to your country.
Can I save or reuse the bank account number from a previous deposit?
No. Every bank transfer deposit on FLIP generates a unique, one-time dynamic virtual account number (such as a temporary Safehaven MFB / Switchlabsltd Checkout account) that expires after 30 minutes and can only be used once. Never save a deposit account as a beneficiary in OPay or your banking app, and never send a second payment to an old account number. Always copy the fresh account number shown on the FLIP deposit screen for each new order.
Which crypto assets and networks does FLIP support?
FLIP exclusively supports USDT and USDC stablecoins across major networks including BNB Smart Chain (BEP20), Solana, Base, Tron (TRC20), Arbitrum One, Polygon, OP Mainnet, Avalanche C-Chain, Celo, Ethereum, and Gnosis. Do not send unsupported native tokens (such as BNB, ETH, or SOL) to your stablecoin deposit address.
What happens if I accidentally pay into an old one-time bank account or send an unsupported token?
Because one-time virtual bank accounts close after a single transaction—and FLIP wallets only credit USDT and USDC—payments sent to a previously used bank account or in an unsupported token (like native BNB) cannot be credited automatically. Contact [email protected] immediately with your transfer receipt or transaction hash. Where manual treasury recovery is feasible with our settlement partners, reconciliation typically takes 48 to 72 hours.
Do I need to find a P2P buyer?
No. You choose your stablecoin, payout currency, and destination bank account inside FLIP. There is no P2P chat, counterparty risk, or manual negotiation.
